This is advertised as a Day Hike pack. For that use it is great. There are times when a backpack type hydration pack is waaay too sweaty--especially here in the Arizona desert. These older fashioned UD fanny packs have been serving me very well for over 20 years. If you want to run with one of these, you will find it bounces quite a lot. I'm not sure why people give one star reviews for a product that they don't use in the way it is designed and advertised for. If you take the time to research what you are buying, and you do use this pack for what it is intended to do, you will be very happy with this pack.

If I could return this without the water bottles I would. Did an 11 mile hike with this today and it was very uncomfortable. Don't even think of running in it. Maybe some suspenders will help otherwise this is useless. No more ultimate direction for me.

I've been a huge fan of Ultimate Direction products for a long time. Your bottles are the only ones that don't leak and that's a major achievement. I've been using one of them for almost 8 years. And I have two fast-draws that I use on +/- 20 mi runs. For longer distances, requiring some additional gear/maps, I bought this pack and I hate it. The "bounce" factor makes it literally un-useable. It's like a UD version of an REI fanny-pack, really. There's no reason a team like yours shouldn't be able to create a tightening mechanism to keep these bottles in line while running.
