I am not a fan of hydration packs (with bladders) as they pull too much on my shoulders, so I was looking for a hydration belt that held plenty of fluid, had plenty of pockets, and didn't bounce around. This pack has it all!! I have had mine for years and it has held up well. I replaced the bottles with 20 oz. bottles, though (I'm just paranoid about fluids). The small pockets in front hold gels, mini PayDay bars, and more. The back pocket holds more than you can imagine. I am an ultra runner and have used it up to 50 miles, during supported runs. I have done eight hour training runs with only the food I could carry but with access to water. It is totally comfortable and I highly recommend this pack!!

My requirements were a two bottle pack with plenty of storage space for food, clothing, phone, etc. My fear was that a large pack would bounce and be bothersome on long runs. The Katoa has worked absolutely fantastic. Plenty of space, easy access, no bounce. I highly recommend this pack.

The Katoa works great for long training runs ( 20 miles and longer). very, very little bounce (much less than other 2 20 oz. bottle belts I have used). Plenty of storage, I use the 2 small packets in front for gels, blocks and electrolytes. The back outer pocket for IPhone 5, ID, money and tissues. The larger pocket is available for additional items, gloves, hat, buff, etc.. I have used hydration packs, 4 bottle belts, hand helds and 2 20 oz belts. I like the 20 oz bottles so I can easily monitor my hydration and quickly refill. I am a pacer for our running group and usually carry extra nutrition, small first aid items, etc. plenty of room in a very light weight belt. As for the kicker top, I really like it. No leaking even when I leave the top up. I just practiced using it while hydrating before my first run with them and had no problems. I would highly recommend this for those looking for a 40 oz. light weight belt with storage for long runs.

I bought the Katoa because I needed two bottles for an ultra I ran recently. The bottles kept me hydrated and I had plenty of room to store my other supplies. Since this race was unsupported, I really needed the Katoa and it surpassed my needs.

Loved the Katoa. I am a heavy water drinker when I walk, and I used the Katoa on my first half marathon today. It was plenty of water without being too bulky or weighing me down. The storage space was ample, and I could easily fit fuel options, mobile phone, keys, tissues, and a few other things too. While it may be too big for some, for me it was a perfect way to bring what I needed to stay fueled and hydrated in my race. As someone with a wide trunk, I also really appreciate that the belt is quite sizable and, therefore, very comfortable. Thanks for a great product!

I highly recommend this pack for anybody looking to do long hikes but don't need/want to carry a backpack. I did a five hour hike up and around a crater with the katoa and it stayed snug and comfortable the whole hike, even when the trail got challenging. The padding worked very well. I didn't have any hot spots around my waste. The bottle holsters with the bungees were very efficient. Great product!
